The Express Entry system is the first step to immigrate to Canada under these programs. Potential candidates will be able to complete an Express Entry profile at any time once the system is online. Note that there will be no deadline to complete a profile and there will be no caps on the number of candidates that will be accepted to the pool.
Anyone who is accepted into the Express Entry pool could get an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence. Draws to invite candidates to apply are expected to take place at regular intervals over the course of each year. We will only pick the top ranking candidates regardless of when they were accepted into the pool. If you have been invited to apply, you will have 60 days to submit a complete Application for Permanent Residence online.
Federal skilled workers (FSW) are chosen as permanent residents based on their ability to settle in Canada and take part in our economy. All applicants wish to apply, will be asses under Express Entry Visa program since 01 Jan 2015.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) ranks eligible candidates for immigration to Canada through Express Entry under the following components:
There are a total of 1,200 points available under the Comprehensive Ranking System. Main selection factors are as follows-
- Core Human Capital Factors = 500 Points
- Skill transferability factors = 100 Points
- Provincial Nomination Approved = 600 Points
- Qualifying offer of Arranged employment (LMIA) = 200 Points (NOC OO)
- Qualifying offer of Arranged employment (LMIA) = 50 Points (NOC O,A,B)
- Additional points for study in Canada above high school:
- 15 points for a one- or two-year diploma or certificate
- 30 points for a degree, diploma or certificate of three years or longer, or a Master’s, professional or doctoral degree of at least one year.
Other Minimum requirements
(a) English Language; To Pass International English Language Testing System (General) IELTS (G) not less than 6 band in each modules (like Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking). if married, Spouse must pass IELTS (G) too.
(b) Must have at least one year work experience.
(c) All education certificates must have Education Credential Assessment in Canada (For both spouses, if married).
(d) Proof of funds; according to size of family
(e) Not Inadmissibility; based on any crime & health
The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for people who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade. All applicants wish to apply, will be asses under Express Entry Visa now
Minimum Requirements
i) Education – Grade 12 with trade diploma or required apprenticeship training.
ii) English language – CLB 5 or IELTS (G) 5 Bands or above.
iii) Work Experience – At least two years with in 5 yrs from date of application.
iv) Trade Certificate – Must have trade certificate of Qualification issued by province trade regulatory body in OR Have Positive LMIA.
v) Settlement funds – Depends upon number of family members included in application.
Skilled Trades Occupations:-
- Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades
- Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades;
- Major Group 82, supervisors and technical occupations in natural resources, agriculture and related production;
- Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators;
- Minor Group 632, chefs, cooks; and -Minor Gp 633, butchers and bakers.
This chapter describes the processing of applications for permanent residence submitted by applicants in the Canadian Experience Class.

- To support, by means of consistent standards and prompt processing, the attainment of immigration goals established by the Government of Canada in consultation with the provinces.
Minimum Requirements
–
i) Have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply, in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification during work permit or Post Graduate Work Permit
ii) Meet the required language levels needed for your job for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).
iii) Must have Educational Credential Assessment of foreign educational credential
